The Arab Industrial Development, Standardization and Mining Organization (AIDSMO), along with the Arab Standardization Bodies commemorate the yearly Arab Standards Day on March 25th, as a contribution to the outreach efforts and recognition of standardization
importance in promoting economic integration among Arab States.

The Arab standardization bodies, opted for “Standardization is a Bridge for Arab Economic Integration” as a slogan for the year 2025 to accentuate the importance of standardization in ensuring the quality of Arab industries, advancing their productive sectors and boosting their competitiveness, in addition to minimizing technical barriers to trade and facilitating trade among Member States. This, indeed, contributes to the promotion of economic integration and fulfillment of requirements of customs union and Arab common market.

Moreover, Standardization is a fundamental component in increasing efficiency, reducing loss at production, protecting all industrial and trade chains, and upholding innovation and development.

It also plays an important role in confidence-building between consumers and producers, fostering economic partnerships, and cutting costs arising from differing markets’ requirements.

Accordingly, the Arab Industrial Development, Standardization and Mining Organization, in cooperation with Member States, is committed to prepare and develop Arab standards, technical regulations, and guidelines through specialized Arab committees, in line with international practices, so as to satisfy the Arab region needs, and facilitate intra-trade.

On this occasion, AIDSMO extends its sincere thanks and congratulations to the heads of Arab standardization bodies and all their employees who are sparing no effort to embody the Arab Standards day’s slogan, and for their active contribution to the development of quality infrastructure in the Arab region, and raise awareness on the importance of standardization to advance national industries and products and ease their flow among Member States in pursuit of a joint economic growth.
