IANORs Message on World Standards Day– October 14

« A Shared Vision for a Better World »

Every year on October 14, the global community celebrates World Standards Day, recognizing the thousands of experts and partners who work together to develop international standards that promote quality, safety, and sustainable development.

This year, under the theme “A Shared Vision for a Better World,” we reaffirm the importance of standards as key tools to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), reduce inequalities, and build a more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable economy.

At the Algerian Institute for Standardization (IANOR), we share this international vision and actively work to increase the participation of Algerian consumer representatives in standardization activities, ensuring that standards truly address the needs of our society and improve the quality of life for all.

As part of this celebration, IANOR is proud to announce the official launch of its trilingual website (Arabic – French – English), designed to connect citizens, companies, and partners more closely with the world of standardization.

Since its inception, IANOR has developed more than 11,000 Algerian standards, covering various sectors. The Institute actively participates in the work of international standards organizations such as ISO and IEC, as well as in African, islamic and Arab regional organizations, thus contributing to the recognition of national expertise on the international scene. IANOR is the one-stop shop for all standards collections and has contributed to the training of thousands of Algerian executives in quality-related fields.

IANOR has also launched several national conformity marks and labels, such as the TEDJ brand, the Halal brand, and the Quality of Hospitality (Fi khidmatikoum), symbols of trust, safety, and excellence for Algerian products and services.

Together, let’s make standards a driver of progress, innovation, and trust, serving a sustainable future for all.

A shared vision for a better world, with standards serving sustainable development and the Algerian consumer.
